Naturaliste University of the Third Age was formed in 2009 in the Busselton - Dunsborough area of southwest Western Australia, its name linked to nearby Cape Naturaliste. Currently with about 260 members, we are a 'university' in the sense of groups of people of like minds gathering to enjoy learning - there are no educational pre-requisites, awards, paid staff or campuses in the traditional sense of a university. We are of the Third Age in that we are of 'mature years' - fully or semi-retired with the time to enjoy learning and exploring new interests.

There are many interesting websites that can be Googled to gather further background to the history of Universities of the Third Age, which is now an international organisation with its foundation in Toulouse, France, in 1972.

We currently pay $25.00 per person per calendar year membership fee which entitles us to seek enrolment in up to five courses, both in semester 1 and 2. Most courses have a maximum capacity so if there is over-enrolment you will be wait-listed until a vacancy arises.
